Track spacing, fullness and stacking matter
A good ripple fold result depends on more than fabric choice. The track position, distance from the wall, fabric fullness, fold spacing and the space needed for the curtain to stack at the side must be planned together. For double-layer curtains, both tracks also need enough clearance so the sheer and main curtain can move without rubbing.
